Meet the Alpacas
Here at Aspden Fold Farm we are home to twenty one alpacas who roam the farm fields freely. It’s no secret that everyone loves alpacas! They are fun and have lots of character, have provided our visitors with endless entertainment value and since their introduction have been a popular attraction for children and adults alike.
While you may not always be able to choose a specific alpaca, we’ll do our best to match you with a unique alpaca that suits you perfectly — for example, our gentle Elvis the Plodder is ideal for a more relaxed walk.

Dodger is a true character, the lovable rogue of the herd! Always on the lookout for something tasty, he’s known for his sneaky snack stops, whether that means pausing mid-walk to nibble on berries or helping himself to a carrot from the basket. With his cheeky grin and gentle heart, Dodger never fails to make people smile. He’s also quite the poser, always up for a cuddle or a selfie with his adoring fans. Life is never dull when Dodger’s around.
Janice is the picture of grace and gentleness. With her stunning ruby-red coat and striking eyes that look as though she’s wearing perfect eyeliner, she truly stands out in the paddock. A devoted mum to three beautiful crias, Janice has a calm, nurturing nature that everyone finds soothing. She’s the alpaca you turn to for a peaceful moment - soft, affectionate, and full of quiet charm.
Born with elegance and poise, Mary is the serene lady of the herd. Her beautiful grey markings and gentle personality make her a favourite with visitors. She’s always happy to share a moment of calm and absolutely loves a good neck scratch. Having raised three lovely crias, Mary carries herself with a natural confidence and warmth - friendly, graceful, and simply wonderful to be around.
Elvis takes life entirely at his own pace - calm, unhurried, and delightfully laid-back. This lovely white boy moves to what we like to call “alpaca time,” content to plod along and enjoy every step. His placid, gentle nature makes him a joy to walk with and a real favourite among visitors looking for a soothing, steady companion. There’s something about Elvis that just makes you slow down and smile.
Meet Norman and Nigel, the youngest members of our walking team and the very best of friends. Born together and inseparable ever since, these two sport gorgeous ginger coats that make them easy to spot and impossible to resist. Nigel is the slightly bigger and lighter of the pair, but both share a fun-loving, friendly spirit. Always curious, always up for a walk (especially if carrots are involved), Norman and Nigel are sure to steal your heart, and maybe your snack!
Oreo and Twix are the mischievous double act of the herd, two beautiful grey alpacas who might as well be twins! Oreo, the slightly bigger of the pair, often leads the adventure, while Twix is never far behind. Together they bring endless energy, fun, and the occasional bit of cheeky trouble. They know their own minds and aren’t afraid to show it, but their close friendship and playful personalities make them a joy to watch (and impossible not to love).
